Donate to our Operating Fund
The Blackhorse Association Operating Fund is essential to administering the scholarship program, publishing and mailing the Blackhorse Newsletter twice annually, maintaining our monthly Blackhorse E-News email program, operating and maintaining our web presence at blackhorse.org. and satisfying the several statutory filing requirements of a 501(c) 3 non-profit, charitable organization. The 1901 Club annual mail out fundraiser is the fuel that permits our association to survive.
Our goal is to have 10% of our 19,100 members donate at the $100 a year level. Through 2011, only 3% of our members support the association at this level or above. We ask that you consider donating your time, talent and treasure to this most noble cause.
Donate to our Scholarship Fund
Over the years, the Scholarship Fund has provided more than $500,000 to help educate the children of Blackhorse Troopers killed in action or incapacitated by wounds and now available to any child of the Blackhorse. Over forty years have passed and we continue to keep the promise made that day in Vietnam. The specific criterion for candidates can be found on our Scholarship page, along with a list of recent scholarship recipients.

DonateOur Association maintains two income streams. One to fund the Blackhorse Association Scholarship Fund and one to maintain the Blackhorse Association Operating Fund.
We ask our 19,000 members to join in the support of the Association by giving of your time, talent and treasure to insure we fulfill the commitment made to one of our fallen troopers to “don’t let them forget us” and “help look after our kids”. A more noble cause does not exist and we will fulfill that commitment with your help. Join in today and contribute at whatever level your situation permits. The contribution of your time, talent and treasure at any level is appreciated.

Allons Club The Blackhorse Association has established the Allons Club category of charitable giving in order to encourage the growth of the Blackhorse Scholarship Fund.
Benefactors can be members or non-members who commit to donating $1000 a year towards the Blackhorse Scholarship Fund for the next four years. The Association is looking for 100 or more benefactors to commit to this amount.
If you are interested in supporting the Blackhorse Scholarship Fund over the next four years at this level, please email the association president, John Sherman Crow at jsc11krh@bellsouth.net.
