We have negotiated a great rate with breakfast of $135 per night for July 22-28. The hotel has 195 rooms, a bar, a pool, a gym, a restaurant, and sufficient space for our meetings, events, and socials.

The hotel is located 80 miles from Denver International Airport and 20 miles from Colorado Springs Airport; it can be reached by shuttle or taxi. The hotel is also located six miles from the U.S. Air Force Academy. You can learn more about the hotel on its website:

Although we would like everyone to stay at the hotel, we understand that lodging is often the largest cost of attending the reunion. Some nearby alternatives include Motel 6, Best Western, and Baymont by Wyndham. You can review these hotels at

Local shuttle service

After reviewing the cost of buses, a decision was made to find three reunion-attendee volunteers to serve as local shuttle drivers. Ideally, these are three people flying into Denver or Colorado Springs.

Each volunteer will reserve a 13-passenger van for their transportation and use these vans to shuttle people to and from the USAF Academy (Friday), Flying W Ranch (Thursday), and other places of attraction that the driver and guests decide on. The cost of the rentals will be covered by reunion funds. Drivers will be provided tickets for Flying W Ranch event.

Please contact Scott ( for details if you’d like to volunteer to be a driver.

Scott’s BBQ outing (Tuesday noon to 6 p.m., July 23)

For those who are local or will arrive in town by noon Tuesday, Scott is holding a pre- reunion BBQ. He needs a headcount from those planning to attend. The event is free (courtesy of Scott), and it includes smoked brisket, tomahawk steaks, hamburgers, hotdogs, potato salad, pasta salad, and sodas.
This will be held on Scott’s property at 3773 High Chaparral Rd, Lake George, CO 80827. If there’s inclement weather, the event will be held in the barn with great views of the Continental Divide.
Please RSVP to Scott at

Golf outing (Thursday morning, July 25)

This event is Thursday morning at the USAF Academy golf course. Tee time is TBD. Please arrive at the hotel by 10 a.m. for planning and transportation to the golf course.
