Blackhorse E-News Special – Change of Command Ceremony and Retirement Ceremony

An Invitation from the Regimental Commander

To all Troopers and Veterans of the Blackhorse Regiment:

I invite you to the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment’s Change of Command Ceremony and Retirement Ceremony for Colonel Joseph D. Clark.

The ceremonies will begin at 0800 on June 28, 2018 at Fritz Field, Fort Irwin, CA. The event will see the 67th Colonel of the Regiment, Colonel Joseph D. Clark, relinquish command of the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment to the 68th Colonel of the Regiment, Colonel Scott C. Woodward.

Immediately following the change of command, the Fort Irwin and NTC Commander, Brigadier General Jeffrey D. Broadwater, will hold a Retirement Ceremony for Colonel Clark. All officers, non-commissioned officers, and troopers of the Regiment, both past and present, are encouraged to attend.

The uniform for this ceremony will be Operation Camouflage Pattern for active duty soldiers and business casual for civilians and retirees. Campaign hats and spurs are optional.
