BLACKHORSE REGIMENT CAVALRY MOTORCYCLES PLAYS SANTA FOR CHILDREN OF THE REGIMENT The Blackhorse Regiment Cavalry Motorcycles Chapter (BHRCM) made their annual ride from all parts of California to Fort Irwin last week to deliver Christmas gifts to children of the Regiment. This has been a Christmas tradition of the BHRCM for several years now and is greatly appreciated by the children and the Regiment.In the pictures below the RCO Colonel Tony Aguto (in white), Mrs. Aguto (in yellow),CSM Wilcox and Mrs. Wilcox, Mr. and Mrs Beau Richards and other members of BHRCM, unloading Christmas gifts at RHQ.

We are saddened to report the passing of two devoted Blackhorse Troopers.
George Shookla died on August 13, 2010. Our prayers remain strong for his devoted wife Dee and the entire Shookla family.
Also, CSM (R) Arthur W. Hawthorne passed away on 5 Dec in Longview, Texas. CSM Hawthorne was the Regimental Sergeant Major when the Regiment deployed to Vietnam in 1966. He continued to serve as the Regimental Sergeant Major until his return to the states in Jun 1967. He later served as the CSM of the 2nd Armored Division at Fort Hood. CSM Hawthorne was also a veteran of WWII and Korea.
These Troopers will be greatly missed by The Regiment and all who knew and loved them.
Previous scholarship recipients who are reapplying need only send a letter from a professor and a current copy of their grade transcripts. ______________________________
