The Air Cavalry Troop chapter of the Blackhorse Association will gather at the Gold Vault Inn, 1225 N. Dixie Blvd., Radcliff, KY 40160.

Mike DeNote (“SGT D”) has spoken with the Inn’s new manager, Amber (270-351-1141; Monday – Friday 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.), and she is giving anyone who wants to stay there a discount. If there are at least 10 rooms booked, she will give us the Hospitality Room free. Jim’s son Nick has said he would like to have a cookout at the motel after the Celebration of Life Service. In his words, it will be a mini-reunion.

If you are flying in and need transportation to and from the Gold Vault Inn, please contact Nick Angelini at 502-442-3121.

It will be great to say goodbye to Jimbo at the very location that the Angelini family hosted the Air Cav Troop Reunions for so many years. We will remember that Jimbo was the glue that brought us together for 34 years.

All Blackhorse Troopers in the Louisville, Radcliff, Fort Knox, and Elizabethtown, Kentucky areas are urged to attend Jim’s Celebration of Life Service.

Rest in peace Jimbo.
